Grandma in the BIO trend

My grandmother is an experienced gardener. Having lived in the countryside her entire life, growing cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and other crops is a common occurrence for every villager. But she also has a passion – her apple orchard and flower garden. Beginning in April, delicate and graceful snowdrops and crocuses bloom in the flowerbeds. In May, the beds glow with the scarlet flame of tulips, visible from afar. Then comes the season of fragrant peonies, roses, lilies, phlox, clematis – in short, you name it, and each one is like a child to her. And the apple orchard is like her second child, where she worries about every new branch of a new variety, grafted by her own hand, how the tree has survived the winter, and how the buds are setting.

A grandmother, always confident that she knows exactly how to protect her garden and flowerbed, never listens to anyone, using only those products she claims to trust.

When I started working at AgroBioTekhnologiya LLC, I told her many times about the company's biological products. However, she, an ardent fan of her favorite chemicals, repeatedly said she didn't believe they worked, and that she had to wait for results, and whether they would actually work. But here, she insists, "I just sprayed the whole thing at once and that's it."

But I really wanted to show her the biological products Alirin-B, Gamair, Gliocladin, and Trichocin in action, so I suggested we conduct an experiment—she loves that. We set up several experimental plots in the garden and flowerbed and agreed to keep an eye on them.

Since my grandmother always plants a lot of seedlings, we decided to test Gliocladin on them, especially on problematic peppers, eggplants, and cabbage, whose seedlings often failed. According to the instructions, we applied one tablet per seedling during transplanting, planting the tablet 1-2 cm deep next to the plant. When planting, we agreed that this would be part of the experimental plot. We watered the holes with Trichocin, and applied Gliocladin in the other part.

It didn't take long to find the first test subjects in the open ground either. At the end of May, I sprayed the rose plot and the tree trunks of three apple trees with Trichocin (at a rate of 6 g/10-30 liters of water/100 m²). My grandmother poured 10 liters under the apple trees and 3 liters under the roses, then loosened the soil to allow the fungus to enter its natural habitat—the soil.

Then, all vegetation treatments in the experimental plot with roses and peonies were carried out with a mixture of Alirin-B and Gamair, 5 tablets of each per 10 liters of water. Three treatments were performed over the entire period. The test apple and cherry trees were sprayed at the following dosages: 10 tablets of Alirin-B + 10 tablets of Gamair per 10 liters of water. Five treatments were performed in total, as the trees were not young.

Imagine her surprise when she realized that her long-suffering cabbage and pepper seedlings suffered no damage after applying Gliocladin, and even adapted better to their new location. Roses and peonies, which often suffered from powdery mildew, remained clean and green throughout the entire growing season. And the apple trees were unaffected by scab, while the cherry trees were only occasionally affected by coccomycosis.

Another discovery for her and her neighbor, an allergy sufferer, was that these biological products have no adverse effects on human health and do not accumulate in the fruits and vegetables treated with them. The neighbor is always very sensitive to this, and her grandmother has now become more selective about what she uses in her garden, including Alirin-B, Gamair, Gliocladin, and Trichocin among her favorites.
