Biological Wastewater Treatment
for the Food Industry

Specialized solutions for high-load organic waste,

fats, oils, and greases (FOG)

Reduce your COD/BOD levels and eliminate foul odors with our biological wastewater treatment technology. We design and supply technical solutions for the construction of new and reconstruction of existing wastewater treatment facilities tailored to break down complex animal fats, blood, and proteins found in food industry wastewater. As a result of long-term irrigation with treated wastewater, the high permeability and filtration capacity of light sandy soils decrease, humus accumulates (due to the fixation of organic matter), and capillary moisture capacity increases. Along with this increases the soil's ability to absorb water and nutrients. Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content in the soil increases due to the presence of biogenic substances (nutrients) in the wastewater, which are retained in the soil, humified, or mineralized by microorganisms. Soil acidity decreases, and its degree of base saturation increases.

Key benefits

  • End-to-End Service: operation on a turnkey basis - from laboratory analysis of your effluent to the comprehensive equipment supply, supervisory installation and commissioning works

  • Supervision of installation and commissioning works by experienced engineers

  • Cost-effective technology

  • Environmental compliance: prevent fat blockages in sewer lines, reduce sludge volume and achieve compliance with local environmental standards

  • Irrigation: utilization of water purified by our technology for irrigation of open and closed ground agricultural lands, lawns and urban green spaces

  • Improvement of water-physical and physico-chemical properties of the soil

Deployment

1

Mechanical waste water treatment:

a static concave screen is used.

2

Wastewater flocculation:

physicochemical treatment process.

3

DAF:

wastewater enters a dissolved air flotation (DAF) unit.

4

Thickening the flotation sludge:

decanter centrifuges are the most efficient equipment for thickening flotation sludge (wastewater sludge), providing a continuous process due to centrifugal forces.

5

Biological treatment of wastewater:

basic soluble organics and nitrogen compounds are removed during biological treatment. Activated silt converts organics into water and carbon dioxide with the growth of new activated silt. For this purpose, a continuous anaerobic/aerobic wastewater treatment method is used.

6

Mechanical waste water treatment:

secondary settlers are biological treatment structures following the aeration tanks, designed to separate activated silt (biomass) from the treated wastewater.

7

Sand Filter application:

the self-cleaning sand filter is intended for a wide range of applications in wastewater treatment for particles down to 5 microns.

8

Storage ponds and irrigation:

the volume of treated wastewater obtained as a result of our integrated technology turns to an important resource for irrigating agricultural crops and urban plantings
