Protection of salad and green crops in protected ground

Protection of salad and green crops in protected ground

Lettuce and other green crops are susceptible to fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases.

Root rot can be widespread in lettuce crops, as plants are constantly exposed to high substrate moisture. If water and temperature conditions are not met, it leads to stunted growth and death of both young and mature plants. It is caused by pathogens such as fungi (Fusarium oxysporum, Pythium debaryanum, Verticillium albo-atrum, Rhizoctonia solani) and bacteria (Pectobacterium carotovorum).
