Alirin-B is a biological fungicide based on the bacterium Bacillus subtilis.

For plant protection against pathogens:

  • root rot

  • wilting

  • phytophorosis

  • ascochyta blight

  • powdery mildew

  • alternaria

  • anthracnose

  • gray rot

Composition of the preparation: bacteria Bacillus subtilis, strain B-10 VIZR (titer not less than 109 CFU/g).

Preparation form: tablets - tab.

Hazard class: 4 (low-hazard drug), safe for animals and bees.

Shelf life and storage conditions: the drug is stored in its original packaging in dry rooms, protected from direct sunlight at temperatures from -30 °C to +30 °C for 3 years. After opening the package, use the drug within 3 months. Use the working solution within 24 hours after preparation.

Compatibility with chemical pesticides: compatible with microbiological plant protection products, growth regulators, chemical fungicides and insecticides. When preparing the working fluid, chemical pesticides are first added with constant stirring, then the biological preparation is added. Not compatible with Fitolavin and other bactericides.

Compatibility with agrochemicals: The concentration of agrochemical salts in the working fluid should not exceed 2%.

Mechanism of Action

Bacillus subtilis bacteria cells inhibit the growth and development of phytopathogenic fungi, which cause diseases, through antagonism (competition) and metabolites (cell secretions)—complexes of antibiotics and enzymes. When the product comes into contact with phytopathogens, the fungal cells are destroyed. Soil and plants are cleared of infection, and the concentration of phytopathogens is sharply reduced.

Period of Protective Action

The product's protective effect on plant surfaces (leaves, stems, flowers) lasts 7-20 days with a single application, thanks to a protective barrier of beneficial microflora. The plant root system is protected from soil-borne infections for 2 months.
