Protecting eggplant in film greenhouses

Protecting eggplant in film greenhouses

Among the eggplant diseases there are fungal, viral and, less commonly, bacterial.

Root rot can spread significantly if water and temperature conditions are not observed, causing the death of both young and adult plants.

Other common diseases: gray rot, white rot, black mold, verticillosis, powdery mildew, anthracnose, phomopsis, tracheomycotic wilt.

Among bacterial diseases, the most common is wet or watery rot of fruits (Pectobacterium carotovorum).

Viral diseases: viral mosaic (tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), leaf necrosis (potato virus Y), necrotic spot (tobacco ringspot virus).
